Final Year Project

Project Title

Implications of Al-Ghazali’s Work for Contemporary Education in Pakistan

Description

In my research, I discuss al-Ghazali’s major works and their impact on philosophy, Sufism and education. I also discuss al-Ghazali’s educational thought and his emphasis on ethics and spiritual teachings of Islam as part and parcel of education. From his major works, such as the Ihya al Uloom ad-din, Mizan al amal, and Munqidh al-Dalal, I offer a detailed analysis of al-Ghazali’s views about the fundamental aspects of education, particularly the goals and objectives (as they inform the process and methods of education at large).
